On December 3rd, together with Association for International Affairs (AMO) HCIS co-organized a public talk by Yehuda Shaul, a founder and co-director of Breaking the Silence, an organization of former Israeli soldiers who decided to come forward and share their experiences with military service in the Occupied Palestinian Territories. Yehuda Shaul started the talk with his own story of how he launched the organization with fellow soldiers following his military service in the West Bank and then outlined its current activities. During Q&A session members of the audience inquired into the larger social and political context in which Breaking the Silence operates, as well as more personal issues linked to participation in the left-wing organization.
