Vyhlášení doktorského přijímacího řízení v kombinaci politologie a Herzlovo centrum (English below)

Institut politologických studií (IPS) ve spolupráci s Herzlovým centrem izraelských studií otevírá v rámci přijímacího řízení do doktorského studia politologie (nástup říjen 2026) pozici doktoranda/doktorandky se zaměřením na současný Izrael.

Hledáme motivované uchazeče/ky, kteří se chtějí ve svém výzkumu věnovat následujícím tematických okruhům:

• domácí politika Izraele;

• zahraničněpolitické vztahy Izraele (zejména s USA, evropskými státy, EU či arabskými zeměmi);

• izraelsko-palestinský konflikt.

Součástí přihlášky je výzkumný projekt v angličtině, v němž uchazeč/ka představí zamýšlené téma doktorského výzkumu včetně jeho teoretického ukotvení a metodologického přístupu. Požadována je znalost českého a anglického jazyka, znalost hebrejštiny je výhodou.

Přijatý uchazeč/ka získá možnost dodatečné finanční podpory nad rámec standardního doktorandského stipendia a zapojení do výzkumných projektů, mezinárodních aktivit a výuky realizovaných v rámci Herzlova centra izraelských studií. Doktorské studium tak nabízí nejen prostor pro vlastní výzkum, ale i aktivní zapojení do živé akademické komunity zaměřené na studium Izraele a Blízkého východu.

Announcement of the doctoral admission procedure in the combination of political science and the Herzl Center

The Institute of Political Studies (IPS), in cooperation with the Herzl Center for Israel Studies, is opening a PhD position in Political Science (starting in October 2026) with a focus on contemporary Israel.

We are looking for motivated candidates who wish to pursue their research in the following thematic areas:

• Israel's domestic politics;

• Israel's foreign relations (especially with the USA, European states, the EU and Arab countries);

• the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

The application includes a research project in English, in which the applicant presents the intended topic of doctoral research, including its theoretical foundation and methodological approach. Knowledge of Czech and English is required, knowledge of Hebrew is an advantage.

The accepted applicant will receive additional financial support beyond the standard doctoral scholarship and participation in research projects, international activities and teaching implemented within the Herzl Center for Israeli Studies. The doctoral study thus offers not only space for one's own research, but also active participation in a vibrant academic community focused on the study of Israel and the Middle East.
