Adam Fagan - Chairman of the Board

Professor of European Politics at King’s College London. An expert on political developments in Southeast Europe, democratization, and the European Union’s influence in post-socialist states. Prof. Fagan is the author of Europe’s Balkan Dilemma monography and frequently serves as an expert consultant for international organizations.





Jeffrey S. Kopstein

Professor of Political Science at the University of California and University of Toronto specializing in ethnic conflict and antisemitism in Central and Eastern Europe. His research focuses on interethnic violence, minority political behavior, and anti-liberal tendencies, currently leads research on the collapse of liberal states. Author of Intimate Violence and The Assault on the State monographies.





Judith L. Goldstein

Professor at Stanford University, specializing in international political economy and trade policy. Author of Ideas, Interests, and American Trade Policy and The Evolution of the Trade Regime monographies. Prof. Goldstein has served as chair of the department and of the Academic Senate of Stanford University, and currently is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.





Thomas Risse

Senior Professor of International Relations at Freie Universität Berlin, specializing in transnational relations, European integration, and governance beyond the nation-state. His works include Governance Without a State? and A Community of Europeans?. Prof. Risse has also held a long-term position at the European University Institute.





Tanja A. Börzel

Professor of Political Science at Freie Universität Berlin, focusing on European integration, governance, and the diffusion of norms within the EU. The Director of the Center for European Integration and research project SCRIPTS. Prof. Börzel´s work addresses governance in areas of limited statehood and with Thomas Risse she has published on the topic of the global order.
